Risk Disclosure

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This notice summarizes the main risks of using Avior. It is not a complete list, and it is not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. You should only hold stablecoins or use Avior Earn with money you can afford to lose. If you are unsure, seek independent professional advice.

Stablecoins are not bank deposits

Your Avior balance is held in stablecoins, which are digital assets. They are not bank deposits, electronic money, or legal tender. They are not covered by the FDIC, the FSCS, or any other deposit-insurance or investor-compensation scheme in any jurisdiction. If a stablecoin issuer fails, or a stablecoin loses its peg to the currency it tracks, you could lose part or all of your balance.

Value and market risk

The value of any digital asset can fall as well as rise and may reach zero. A stablecoin is designed to track the value of a reference currency, but that peg is not guaranteed and has failed for other assets in the past. Converting between currencies and assets is subject to market rates and may result in a loss.

Self-custody risk

Your wallet is self-custodial: you control it, and Avior does not hold your assets or your keys. This means you are responsible for your own security. If you lose access to your recovery method, or someone else gains access to it, you may permanently lose your assets. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible: a transfer sent to the wrong address or approved by mistake usually cannot be undone.

Blockchain and technology risk

Avior relies on public blockchains and third-party technology. Networks can be congested, delayed, or disrupted, fees can change, and software or smart contracts can contain defects that are exploited. These events are outside Avior's control and can affect your ability to access or move your funds.

Avior Earn

Avior Earn routes funds to third-party decentralized-finance protocols to seek a variable yield. It is not a savings account or a deposit, returns are variable and not guaranteed, and you can lose some or all of the funds you allocate. The specific risks are described in the Avior Earn Terms.

Regulatory risk

The laws and regulations that apply to stablecoins, crypto-assets, and related services are still developing and vary by country. Changes in law, regulation, or the status of a partner or issuer could affect the availability of Avior, the services you can use, or the value and usability of your assets.

Availability

Avior is not available in every country, and specific features, currencies, and payment rails vary by location and may change. Eligibility and other limits apply.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the EEA

Crypto-assets are high-risk and largely unregulated in many places. You should be prepared to lose all the money you put into crypto-assets, and you should not expect protection from a compensation scheme if something goes wrong. Services for users in the EEA are provided through a regulated partner; the applicable partner terms and risk information are presented to you during onboarding.
